Oulu Pride Association is a non-profit organization founded in autumn 2018. We organize the annual Oulu Pride Week and coordinate year-round activities. Our mission is to promote the realization of human rights and to work towards a more equal and inclusive Oulu for everyone. In the spirit of Pride, we celebrate the diversity of humanity and raise awareness of sexual and gender minorities. We are a member organization of SETA, Finland’s national LGBTI rights organization, and a partner of Oulu SETA.
As Oulu is the European Capital of Culture in 2026, Oulu Pride Association’s project “All the Colors of the Rainbow” is part of the Oulu2026 cultural programme and its broader Cultural Climate Change initiative.
In 2026, Oulu shares the title of European Capital of Culture with 39 municipalities across Northern Finland. The programme offers world-class experiences from near and far, bringing together culture, art, and diverse events in cities, villages, and natural settings throughout the region. It is a multi-year journey that culminates in the landmark year of 2026.
The Executive Producer is responsible for, among other things, event planning and partnership agreements. The Executive Producer for 2026 is Martu Väisänen, and the Assistant Producer is Anna Salomaa.
